Ingredients[edit]

  • 160g 550 bread flour
  • 115g unsalted butter, softened
  • 25g granulated sugar
  • 130g dark brown sugar
  • 4g salt
  • 1 package vanilla extract
  • 1 medium egg (large in US)
  • 1 medium egg yolk (large in US)
  • 120g semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions[edit]

  1. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in medium bowl
  2. In a large bowl, stir butter, sugars, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Add egg and stir to combine.
  4. Gradually add flour as mixing
  5. Stir in chocolate chips
  6. Refrigerate dough for 2+ hours
  7. Preheat convection oven to 180C (190C for conventional oven)
  8. Lightly grease a sheet pan
  9. Use a teaspoon to drop batter on the sheet
  10. Bake for 10 minutes
  11. Cool for 3 minutes on sheet, then transfer to wire rack for to fully cool for 20 minutes
