Ingredients[edit]

  • 0.75 cups melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 0.25 cups molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.25 to 0.75 teaspoons cloves
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • a bit less than 0.5 teaspoons ginger
  • a bit more than 0.25 teaspoons nutmeg

Instructions[edit]

  1. Cream together butter, sugar, molasses, egg.
  2. Mix dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture.
  3. Cool in refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  4. Roll by teaspoons into small balls. Roll each ball in granulated sugar, then place 2 inches apart on a greased pan.
  5. Bake 7 minutes at 350 F or until cookie flattens.
