Ingredients
- 1 tablespoons olive oil
- 0.5 medium sweet onions, diced
- 0.5 red bell peppers, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 28 oz crushed tomatoes
- 2 15-oz cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 0.5 cups water
- 1.5 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoons ground cumin
- 0.5 tablespoon pure maple syrup
- 0.5 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 0.5 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 0.75 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 0.25 teaspoon salt, or to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot over medium heat, add the olive oil.
- Add the chopped onion and bell pepper and sauté 3-4 minutes until translucent.
- Add in the garlic and cook 1 more minute, stirring constantly.
