Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Lightly grease an 8x8" pan.
  3. In a large bowl, stir butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Add egg and vanilla. Stir to combine.
  5. Add flour and salt. Stir just until combined.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips, reserving a couple tablespoons to sprinkle on top.
  7. Spread batter into the pan.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.
  9. Bake for 25-28 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. The blondies will be slightly browned along the edges.
  10. Let cool for 20 minutes.
