Double Chocolate Cookies

2 baking sheets of cookies
Ingredients[edit]
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup white granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/3 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
Instructions[edit]
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, melt the butter in the microwave for 30s to get it mixable.
- Mix in the sugar, butter, and vegetable oil.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix just until a dough is formed. Don't over mix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Place 1-2 tbsp cookies onto the baking sheets, pressing them down to your desired thickness.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
- Let cool on the baking sheets for 10 minutes, and then transfer to a wire rack for cooling.
