2 baking sheets of cookies

Ingredients[edit]

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

Instructions[edit]

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, melt the butter in the microwave for 30s to get it mixable.
  4. Mix in the sugar, butter, and vegetable oil.
  5. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract.
  6. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  7. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix just until a dough is formed. Don't over mix.
  8. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  9. Place 1-2 tbsp cookies onto the baking sheets, pressing them down to your desired thickness.
  10. Bake for 10 minutes.
  11. Let cool on the baking sheets for 10 minutes, and then transfer to a wire rack for cooling.
