Ingredients[edit]

  • 1 lb brussels sprouts
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • freshly ground pepper
  • 1 tsp honey or sugar
  • 1/8 cup olive oil

Instructions[edit]

  1. Place a sheet pan in the oven and set the oven on broil.
  2. Trim and half or quarter the brussels sprouts.
  3. In a bowl, combine the sprouts with salt, pepper, and sugar or honey.
  4. Mix in the olive oil.
  5. Transfer the sprouts to a piece of aluminum foil or parchment paper that will fit on the sheet pan.
  6. Take the hot sheet pan out of the oven. Carefully put the sheet onto the sheet pan, then return it to the oven.
  7. Broil for 6 minutes, then stir and rotate the pan.
  8. Broil for another 6 minutes or until sprouts are crispy but not burned.
