Ingredients[edit]

  • A 9 inch pie crust
  • Butter
  • 3 onions, sliced
  • 200g goat cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 175ml milk
  • salt & pepper

Instructions[edit]

  1. Caramelize onions on low heat in lots of butter for about 40-60 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes for the first half and every 5 minutes for the second half. While this is going, continue down to prep the crust.
  2. Butter pie dish well
  3. Bake weighted pie crust at 175C for 10 minutes
  4. Drain onions and arrange them in pie crust and top with cheese
  5. Whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper.
  6. Pour egg mixture into crust
  7. Bake at 175C for 40 minutes
