Pão de Queijo

Ingredients[edit]
- 150 ml of vegetable oil
- 150 ml of water
- 150 ml of milk
- 500 g of polvilho azedo
- 13 g of salt
- 3 eggs
- 200 g of grated mozzarella or meia cura cheese
- 25 g of grated parmesan
Instructions[edit]
- Preheat the oven to 180 C.
- Mix the polvilho and salt together in a large bowl.
- Mix the oil, water, and milk together in a pan over heat, stirring constantly, and bring it just barely to a boil.
- Once it starts to boil, pour it over the polvilho mixture and stir with a wooden spoon.
- Let the mixture cool.
- Add the eggs into the mixture and then mix by hand.
- Add the 2 cheeses into the mixture and then mix by hand.
- Wash your hands.
- Form the dough into spheres of about 34 g and place onto an oven pan.
- Bake for about 35 minutes.
Freezing the dough[edit]
- To freeze the dough, place the dough spheres into freezer bags, preventing them from touching each other and getting misshapen.
- To cook from frozen, heat the oven to 180 C and bake for about 35 minutes, or until the tops start to look golden.
