Ingredients[edit]

  • Unbaked 9 inch pie shell
  • 3 large eggs
  • 0.5 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons nutmeg
  • 1.5 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoons cloves or allspice
  • 1 can pumpkin or 2 cups cooked fresh pumpkin
  • 1 cup milk or evaporated milk

Instructions[edit]

  1. Preheat oven to 450 F.
  2. Beat eggs with sugar, molasses, salt, and spices.
  3. Add pumpkin and milk and mix well.
  4. Pour into pie crust and cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Lower temperature to 400 F and cook for 30 minutes longer or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
