Steamed Clams

Ingredients[edit]
- 1 small shallot (0.25 cups), minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 1 small bay leaf
- 2 lbs clams
- 2 tbsp butter
- 0.25 cups parsley
- Baguette croutons
Directions[edit]
- Bring the wine, shallot, garlic, and bay leaf to a simmer on medium
- Simmer for 3 minutes
- Add clams, increase heat to medium-high, add lid
- Cook 4 minutes
- Stir and cook 4 more minutes
- Use a slotted spoon to transfer clams to a serving bowl
- Add butter and parsley to the broth, stir to make a sauce
- Pour sauce over clams
- Serve with croutons
